WHAT DOES WAREHOUSE DIRECT MEAN
All our products are delivered to your home by courier free of charge. Your product will arrive in a carton. In this way we can operate on a lower cost basis and pass these saving on to you, through lower sales prices
CAN WE TRY BEFORE WE BUY
Depending on where you live it might be possible to refer you to a local distributor or reseller in your area. Some of these can provide a value added premium service like in home demonstrations, scooter and chair set up, and training. When dealing with them please be aware that they are operating independent businesses with different cost structures, so prices and conditions must be discussed directly with them
WHAT IS THE 3 DAY TRIAL
Where the 3 day trial is specified next to the product ordered, you have three days from when you receive it to assess suitability. If not suitable it can be returned back and a full refund will be issued, subject to terms and conditions. Please refer to these details in the INFO section of this website
IS IT NECESSARY TO REGISTER OR LICENCE MOBILITY SCOOTERS AND ELECTRIC WHEELCHAIRS
The road rules are the same as for pedestrians and no licence is required. Registration is not required in most states but road rules vary so it’s best to contact the respective road authority in your state. Queensland Government has a form of free registration
WHAT IS THE BEST MOBILITY SCOOTER FOR TRAVELLING
There are now a few on the market suitable for travelling, but we recommend the Luggie manufactured by Freerider. This is an Ideal scooter to take with you on the plane or for a cruise. The reason is this scooter can do things the others can’t. It is exceptionally well designed and engineered and easy to fold. A unique feature of the luggie is its half fold position. This means you can make use of the leverage when loading in the car, by simply leaning one end against the boot and picking up the other end from the ground and rolling in. The half fold also makes it much safer when going into the luggage hold of a plane
ARE ELECTRIC FOLDING WHEELCHAIRS EASY TO OPERATE
Yes. They are especially suitable for people who lack upper body strength, movement and balance. Very easy to operate via the joystick that can be mounted on either the left or right armrest. Compact, lightweight, easy to fold, and great for travel
HOW LONG DO LITHIUM BATTERIES LAST
If charged regularly lithium batteries should last up to three years or longer. When in storage and not in use make sure they are charged every fortnight or so, but at least every month to prevent them developing an over discharge fault. Lithium batteries can be topped up and do not have a battery memory like Lead acid batteries
